Iyengar workshop Asanas for opening the heart – module 2

  1. Saturday, March 21, 2015
  2. Aix-en-Provence
  3. With Catherine Baxa

Following my travel to India to attend the intensive Geeta Iyengar for 10 days, I organize this workshop on the theme: asanas for opening the heart. This will be followed, for those that are available, by a small meal of rice and lentils with Indian chai, at home on the hill of the plain of Montaiguet! Thank you to announce your arrival (with or without participation to the meal) and bring your own equipment if you have it (bricks, carpets, blankets, straps)!

This module is the second in the series, the next and final will take place in April.

Catherine Baxa – Biography

My meeting with this yoga happened in 1997 in Strasbourg thanks to a sciatica ! I’ve been practicing for 17 years and teaching for 7. I’m also art teacher for the Education Nationale. In 2010, I achieved my diploma as a certified Iyengar yoga teacher from the RIMIY of Puna in India, to go on with the transmission of this yoga that transforms us daily. Since may 2013, I have the deep joy to be vice-president of the french Iyengar yoga association, which is working for the respect of the ethic and the rigor of M. BKS Iyengar, especially in the teachers training. Originating from Alsace, I took advantage of a break in teaching for the Education Nationale, to migrate in Aix en Provence where I now live and teach with a full heart, the Iyengar yoga.
