Activities

  • Elephant Day (Attention, important: no elephant tours for tourists!): You will visit a small elephant protection camp in the mountains, a Karen village, where elephants are an integral part of the village. You do not ride elephants. You start feeding them, then bathing them in the river and washing them (they wash you too). Then will follow a small jungle trek half an hour walking alongside the elephants, to get to a beautiful waterfall where you will have lunch in a hut. Then swim in the waterfall with the elephants. They love it!!
  • Visit of Bosang village and silk factory
  • Visit of a Celadon (pottery) workshop: This is a group of magnificent 19th century teak buildings. You will discover the particular collections of the owner who is well known to your hosts. It’s a beautiful place. That day the morning yoga session will take place on the spot before the opening. You will feel at the end of the world.
  • Bath in hot springs
  • Visit mountains, coffee plantations, waterfalls, isolated villages, and many other things, places discovered by your hosts, kept secret, unknown to guides and agencies and reserved for you.
  • Visit the temple of the village: the monks will open the temple for you and you will put the bracelets of happiness by making a prayer. These bracelets must be kept for at least 8 days. A meditation session will take place in this temple … even if the monks do not speak English!
  • You will go one evening to another temple, which is the main one of this region, to attend the prayer of the monks. You will be with the monks and you will listen to them recite the mantras. Not a single tourist. Only you.
  • 7 days with instruction in English with french translation
  • Spoken languages:
